Series TFXM Transit Time Flow Meters feature the world's most advanced non-invasive flow measurement technology available – providing a measuring system with unsurpassed accuracy, versatility, low-cost of installation and low-cost of ownership. Up to eight discrete channels/pipes can be utilized with mathematical formulas to display and output
average flow, flow difference, proportions or sums.
The TFXM includes a standard RS485 module and two additional input/output
plug-in modules. In addition to the eight channels that can be configured
and displayed on the TFXM console, the flow meter has the ability to
daisy-chain up to 127 meters utilizing the RS485 module.
The TFXM is designed for permanent installation on liquid systems and can be
configured and operational within minutes. It has an oversized LCD and an integral
keypad that allows field configuration without the use of a computer. TFXM also provides an
optical interface which can be used with ULTRALINK™, an optional Windows®-based software utility. The software utility allows simple in-field programming, calibration and software upgrades. All systems utilize Dynasonics' proprietary dual time-base time expansion software algorithm, digital cross-correlation, optically isolated input-output busses and field replaceable duplex
communication I/O modules.
The TFXM flow measurement system is a cost-effective, versatile investment that can be
readily configured for piping from 2" (50mm) and higher using the standard transducers. The DTTS
small pipe transducers are capable of measurement on piping from 1/2" (12mm) to 2" (50mm).
Additional features of the TFXM include:
- Non-invasive clamp-on transducers that are simple and cost efficient to install. Since the
transducers do not contact the liquid, fouling and maintenance are eliminated.
- The measurement range of the TFX system includes zero flow. Reading accuracy and
reliability, especially at low flow rates, are improved versus mechanical,
DP and vortex shedding flow meter performance.
- Automatic Reynolds Number compensation assures accurate measurements through the
laminar, transition and turbulent system flow regions.
- Low power consumption. The TFX system operates on less than 2.5 W, allowing operation
on UPS, solar panel and battery operated power sources.
- Each measurement channel contains integral 4-20 mA, dual-relay and RS485 communications. Field replaceable output and communication module options include: 200,000-event data logger and rate pulse.
- Multiple-path, single-pipe installations ensure accurate flow measurements without the need for long runs of straight pipe.
- User configurable rate and totalizer units include: feet, gallons, ft3,
mil-gal, barrels, acre-feet, lbs, meters, liters, m3, mil-liters and kg.
- An integral optical interface and ULTRALINK™, an optional Windows®-based software
utility, provide complete control of system configuration, calibration and
diagnostics – without opening the NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure.
